With Win7 IE when you lot r-click a podcast icon you lot are given the option of "save target as..." and yous can browse for the location you want to save in and edit the proper name of the file. I listen to talk radio podcasts (usually nearly 90min long) and usually at that place is a podcast icon which I would r-click and save to desired binder. I could scan for whatsoever location to save this file. I later select one of these mp3 files to listen to on my computer or load this file onto an mp3 player for on the road listening (goose egg fancy). At present, if I employ IE this still works the same (except IE very slow at present). If I attempt the same process using Edge such option is non available. If anything gets saved, it is a gif of the podcast icon?!
I have institute no info concerning downloading using Edge - such as type of file, browse for location, etc.

Waseemulla,
I guess I neglected to tell you that I do non use ITunes. On many websites they provide archived audio of previous programs (free). Every bit I said, In my case these are recordings of a previous broadcast (radio program) that I couldn't mind to live. Using Edge, if I r-click the provided icon for the podcast my choices are a) open in new window, or b) copy link, or c) inspect chemical element. Sometimes if I open in new window I go a blank page only the podcast will go saved in the generic "download" location - this doesn't always happen.
Could it be that I, somewhere in settings, need to specify how downloads are handled? Like I said before, I maintained a specific desktop folder with subfolders to keep these podcasts organized. If I use IE I tin nonetheless do this but I am trying to get used to using Edge and am finding no useful info concerning its features.
thanks once again

Well it's just been 1yr since I asked this question. Since and then I have discovered that, at some point in time Border browser has added the R-click option to "salve target equally ..." just as IE provided all along. This is a cure to the trouble my question was referring to. My problem (objection) was that, since upgrading to Win-10, IE browser seemed to be intentionally slowed down to the point that it was too frustrating to apply forcing me to use Edge as my browser).
During the past yr I had an incident where I needed to download Chrome to be able to consummate a task. I immediately discovered that I enjoyed using Chrome and it did provide the option to salve an mp3 file to a specified location (using file explorer) as did the IE browser. during the download there is besides an pick available as to whether you lot desire the file to open (play) when washed which is very handy. The bottom line is that I have used Chrome as my preferred browser for some time now. IE is faster at present than it was a year ago but I take no good reason to use information technology. I use Edge every now and then just to run into if it still works.
Cheers to all of yous who replied to the original question.
